Wheelie Good Accessible Walks this May

As part of the annual Bristol WalkFest Friends of the Park are organising three accessible walks in the park aimed at those with physical / mobility limitations.

8 May 10:30-12:30 is aimed at those unsteady on their feet / using a stick or walker / pushed in a wheelchair (pushers will need to accompany participants as needed).

10 May 13:30-15:30 is aimed at those in self-propelling wheelchairs (and therefore able to go a little further and up/down gentle and short slopes).

13 May 10:30-12:30 is aimed at buggy-pushers and will go a little further still, including a long slope if participants agree and are able. 

Walks will be led by Friends volunteers (all) and Ten Amazing Trees (13th only) and we will make sure you learn something you didn't know about this amazing park, its history and ecology!

Crucially, participants will also help the Friends of the Park to explore and assess access needs, routes and pausing places.

As an extra incentive the walks are all free with some light refreshments at the end!
